Jersey shore house, A night in the "Jersey Shore" house in Seaside Heights gave Joe Ambrosini and seven friends that oh-so-sweet taste of fame, complete with camera flashes and stares.

"It was basically the closest thing we’ll ever come to being a celebrity," said Ambrosini, 33, of Philadelphia. "Whenever we went out on the deck or did anything, right away cameras were flashing and people were saying 'Hey, I think it’s one of them.' "

The "Jersey Shore" house, seen on the MTV reality series and the summer hangout for Snooki, The Situation, JWoww and Pauly D, is for rent. Want the opportunity to sit on the cushion and talk on the duck phone or lie on the double bed in the Smush Room? It's $2,500 a night.

Of course, the cameras, lights and microphones placed throughout the house during the shooting of the show are gone. The rooms are neat, without the mess that viewers were used to seeing on television.

You, too, can go GTL (gym-tan-laundry, for those of you unfamiliar with the "Jersey Shore" mantra of daily activities).

"The 'Jersey Shore' house has been visited by many celebrities, politicians, news crews, writers and many named people that are listed in the top Google searches every day," says the website, www.mtvjerseyshore

house.com.

The house on Ocean Terrace, in the town's north end, is a constant attraction. People take pictures in front of the green, red and white flag painted on a garage door, standing in a fist-pump pose. Cars slow down and roll by to check out what’s happening.

The owner has put it up for rent since the end of "Jersey Shore's" first season.

The takers? Fans of the show of all ages, from people in their 20s to over 50. "We have really been surprised at the ages of the people that want to rent the house," said Michael Loundy, broker at Seaside Realty in Seaside Heights.

People have had their sweet 16 or birthday parties at the house.

Fans, such as Ambrosini, his cousin Michael Ambrosini, 30, and friends Eric Royer, 35, and Pete Branca, 32, have had a fun night out in Seaside Heights. They were there from Saturday to Sunday on Labor Day weekend.
