Grace Kelly biopic in the works

Grace Kelly biopic in the works, Grace Kelly is set to grace the silver screen again. A spec script, simply titled Grace of Monaco, sets Kelly's personal story against the political backdrop of the time in the style of the Oscar-winning The King's Speech. According to The Hollywood Reporter Producer Pierre-Ange Le Pogam has scooped the script by Arash Amel and it is stirring a lot of interest amongst top Hollywood helmers.
A Kelly biopic is nothing new - perhaps the best known is the Cheryl Ladd feature - but her story of going from Hollywood royalty (she won the Best Actress Oscar for The Country Girl in 1954) to real royalty when she married Prince Rainier of Monaco in 1956 offers rich pickings for any writer. After her marriage the star of such big hits as High Noon, Rear Window and To Catch a Thief, retired from acting and gave birth to three children. Amel's script focuses on a six-month period in 1962, when Monaco was embroiled in a heated dispute with France. The story follows Princess Grace's diplomatic endeavours which resolved the conflict.
